The Police Department is located in the City Hall Building at 119 East Second Street. The department consists of one full time officer, four reserve officers, and a K-9 named Alvin. The city is assisted with 24/7 police coverage through a recently signed agreement with the Knox County Sheriff’s office. Dispatch services are provided by Knox County Central Dispatch
The Bicknell Police Department has a well trained staff as all members have completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITIZENS OF BICKNELL. THIS INCLUDES A SUCCESSFUL WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CITIZENS, BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES WHILE PROVIDING CRIME PREVENTION ALONG WITH EFFECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT.
